A Horta de Antía

Chemi is a Galician farmer from Madrid who decided to sheathe the rubber boots and leave behind the asphalt of Madrid to open a path through the Galician farms. He changed the city to live and work in the countryside and says he would not change it for the world. He is the person behind of the “Horta de Antía”.

The “Horta de Antía” is an orchard of organic production located in the municipality of Oza-Cesuras, in the parish of Mandaio and inscribed in the Regulatory Council of Organic Agriculture of Galicia. They work several parcels with vegetables where they prevail the autochthonous varieties like the Cabbage and the Onion of Betanzos.

The only worker in the garden is Chemi himself, although he has a luxury assistant, a donkey named Mora. The two began together with the vegetable garden, Mora helps him to plow and to harvest to eliminate the weeds.

It has 7 ha of outdoor cultivation distributed in two plots and 1 ha of greenhouses all located in the municipality of Oza-Cesuras.

The commercialization of the production is directed mainly to restaurants and dining rooms of the schools.
The commercialized productions are:
